An evening of pushing back against boundaries and breaking the lines of genre and expectation: The Union Black (Navajo) is a dynamic duo playing a riff-laden progressive hardcore afro-punk rock they call “groovecore”. Everyone gets out alive – usually – but few untainted. In support is an eclectic bill of nouveau artists: Elshhab taking us on guitar adventures punctuated by acerbic texts, Tenar laying a heart bare with fresh sprung raps over liberated beats, and Jealous Orgasm delivering a 1-piece rock operatic work-out.
