Sonoro / exhibition of paintings and drawings by Geroco

Galeria Majatów in Petersburg Art Space invites to the exhibition of paintings and drawings of Mexican artist Geroco. We will show paintings she did during improvised performances with experimental music, sketches from the concerts and abstract impressions representing her genius approach to color.

Georgina Rodriguez, known as Geroco, was born in 1962 in Mexico City, where she studied art at the National School of Plastic Arts (ENAP). Versatile in different techniques such as drawing, watercolor, oil, tempera, pastel and acrylic encuasto (technique that she developed and incorporate in her language), among others. Her work has been exhibited on an international scale in Heidelbergh, Germany (DAI Museum and Galerie Graf), France (Cultural Arts Center of the Embassy of Mexico), as well as in the United States, Guatemala and in galleries and museums around Mexico. Geroco is an active artis, she is always recreating her style as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary projects. Geroco is based in Cuernavaca, Morelos where she have her home and studio, place where she teaches and creates.
