Dora Bleu & Cedrik Fermont + Stina Nilsson and Dan Peter Sundland + Edith Steyer Solo

Dora Bleu & Cedrik Fermont create dreamlike atmospheres that explore imperialized psychic struggles against reproducing colonial realities. Together with Periklis Tsoukalas, their trio has recently created an emotionally intense being of sound, tone, noise, music and voice, set to arrive on the Syrphe label at the end of this year.
Dora has worked with a variety of musicians such as Sam Shalabi and Marc Ribot, and has been performing and touring for over 20 years. Cedrik Fermont (also known as C-drík Fermont or Kirdec) is a former student of electro-acoustic composer Annette Vande Gorne (Royal Conservatory of Mons, Belgium). In 2017, he was co-awarded the prestigious Golden Nica Prix Ars Electronica in digital musics and sound art.

Stina Nilsson and Dan Peter Sundland, two well-established improvisers of their individual fields, blend their sounds and movements together in a unique expression. In noise and silence, stillness and activity, their interplay creates distinct and unexpected images and soundscapes.

Stina Nilsson is a dancer and improviser. Her artistic practice is based on site speific work and interdisciplinary collaborations ranging from solo works to larger collectives and groups. Her movement practice is based on somatic practices, meditation, breath work and different improvisation practices that she developed. At the beginning of the 2010’s Stina was active in the Berlin scene for improvised dance and music.\
Since 2017, Stina is based in Jönköping, Sweden, where she is an organizer and initiator of the alternative performing arts scene. Stina received one year working grant from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee in 2018 and 2022.

Dan Peter Sundland is a unique electric bass player and composer active in the jazz and improvising scenes in Norway and Berlin. His playing is set apart by his expressive, wide ranging playing techniques, including cello-like bowing and a varied palette of percussive colours.
His discography includes compositional work for his own eleven-piece Elevenette, the Berlin based improvising quartet Home Stretch and sideman work and collective groups including Lina Allemano’s Ohrenschmaus, Simon Kanzler’s hardcore opera and singer-songwriter Port Almond.

«Dan Peter Sundland is simply outrageous on the electric bass. Words aren’t enough. You have to see him play!»
- Kresten Osgood

Edith Steyer is currently working on her solo concept for the clarinet. She not only uses extended techniques on her instruments, but also preparations and electronic devices .
Steyer is a free improvising and composing clarinet and saxophone player with her roots in jazz and classical music. As a former student for social anthropology she is also interested in ethnic music. She is dedicated to the exploration of her instruments and prepares them with music tools and elements from every day life. She also experiments and combines the prepared instruments with electronic devices and feedback. Aside from working on a solo concept, her foremost interest is to create intelligently woven nets of interaction and noisy sound scapes with other artists.
