Moabit zin vol. 2 / Straßenleben / open call /

Moabit Zin is a free, artistic neighborhood publication that initiates dialogue through art, literature, science, journalism and other forms that are publishable through print. The idea behind Moabit Zin is to create an all-access platform of expression for Moabit district residents.
The theme of the second Moabit Zin is Strasenleben, about city, its stories, maps and people trying to live and build together.

We invite you to participate in the project by submitting your texts, articles, poems, drawings, graphic scores, photographs, music… from 20th of May till 20th of June 2023 to galeriamajatow@gmail.com
Texts should be sent in the body of the email. Texts can be submitted in any language but shouldn’t be longer then 600 words. Images should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Sound works can be sent in the form of a link. Selected tracks will be included in print in the form of a QR code. All submitted proposals should include a description explaining the work and one sentence about the author, both in German or English.

Second Moabit Zin will be published on the 14th of July during the art picnic by the Spree river. During the event we will listen to a concert series Music for the Cosmos.

By submitting to the Moabit Zin / open call, you simultaneously agree to use the submitted meterials in print form to create a Moabit Zin newspaper and possibly for the open air exhibition. You also agree to place the work in the digital version of Moabit Zin on the Internet. Your works will not be used in any other way. Photos of the Zin and the opening event will be posted online.

Moabit Zin is a neighborhood project focused on kindness and dialogue. Works containing hateful or offensive messages will not be published in the Moabit Zin.

Upon completion of the project, the Moabit Zin will be documented and published online for general viewing.
