Wednesday concert:
Michiko Ogawa – Sho and electronics
Michiko Ogawa will present an improvised set based on an in-progress solo piece composed in collaboration with Sam Dunscombe. The music is for sho and electronics and combines real time pitch detection, narrow band spectralism, psychoacoustics, and a simple quasi-pythagorean tuning system. What you will hear is a duo between Michiko’s shō and Sam’s Max programming, where the sound of the shō is spectrally augmented by the programming.
Heilbron/Lane/Dupleix/Rasten performs two pieces in just intonation, Poème d’air (2022) by Léo Dupleix and Fuse modulations (2020) by Fredrik Rasten:
Jon Heilbron – double bass
Rebecca Lane – flutes
Léo Dupleix – synthesizer
Fredrik Rasten – guitars
The concert is supported by The Norwegian Composers Association.
