SALMINEN + WONG
Siri Salminen – dance
Eric Wong – electronics
In their collaborative work, Siri Salminen and Eric Wong explore the dynamic interplay between body movement and sound, examining the temporal and spatial relationships that arise between them. As the body moves intermittently, it both holds and releases its movements, leaving behind traces that are continually formed and discarded. Meanwhile, a series of portable speakers project spatialized sound, shifting between rhythmic patterns and varying tonal qualities. By alternately introducing regular and irregular rhythms, and altering both sonic and physical gestures, they aim to evoke a constant flux of dynamics and a shifting perception of time for the audience.
