Overtone singing and vocalizations paint a dark ambient noise wall\, for a composition divided into two pieces: tagesinsekten (diurnal insects) and nachtative insekten (nocturnal insects) which are also the parts into which the visual part will be divided. Luca Atzori and Alberto Papotto’s Bikini party project\, together with the video artist Marco Giambra and the double bass player Veronica Perego\, in the realization of Insekten\, have made the choice to propose the music first\, so as to be able to share the sound suggestions that will accompany the film. It is a purely visual and sound narrative film. A world\, seen in subjective\, no longer human. The film\, in its transcendental para-naturalism\, does not detach itself from the symbolic. We cannot\, in fact\, go beyond the boundary of otherness. We are imprisoned by it. The world resides within ourselves\, and we are as vast as the world. Therefore insects are a distortion of the human. Imagining what we will never know\, or what a world is for insects\, leads us to deform. And this is also what we want to tell. A metaphor for life\, growth\, death. An anxious meditation. An entomological dream. Voice and electronic resonances. Insects that use their exoskeletons to sing. A film only sound for now. Made of visions. Limits. Worlds. Insects. \n\n\n\nLvx Interior – Arcane Noise \n\n\n\nMagic\, psychic and moral operations must be involved in the contemplation of the Arcane\, all of which take place beyond intellectual investigations and explanations. For these operations to materialize\, one must be ready to keep the secret that he or she is awarded. It is a job to be executed in solitude and by the solitary.—@lvxinterior

DESCRIPTION:8 January 2023 \n\n\n\n14:00 OVERTONE SINGING WORKSHOPTo take part in workshop please write to this email: atzori.l@tiscali.itParticipation: 50€ \n\n\n\nOVERTONE SINGING WORKSHOPThe workshop is aimed at all those who intend\, for artistic or personal and professional reasons\, to study the voice by going into its techniques\, physiology\, and performative use with a particular attention to overtone singing. Therefore\, the whole aspect related to breathing will be explored\, thus the knowledge of the costodiaphragmatic apparatus. We will discover what the diaphragm is and what its action is\, how to use costal muscles\, the auxiliary respiratory muscles. Exercises borrowed from yoga and other methods will be associated as well as various facial and vocal warm-up exercises. We will find out what a vocalization is\, and how it goes with the breath. We will then explore the larynx and the action of its muscles in the various registers. From the vocalizations we will understand what sympathetic vibration is. \n\n\n\nThe deepening will continue with the discovery of the resonators. We will discover how to use the oropharyngeal and laryngeal apparatus to clearly direct the voice to the resonator concerned. Palatal\, nasal\, velar\, occipital\, laryngeal\, pharyngeal\, uvular\, false chordal resonators etc. A particular space will be dedicated to overtone singing. The creation of resonances\, the control of harmonics through the use of the tongue and lips\, the use of the body during phonation: we will always remember that the voice is the body. Exercises related to the mask will be deepened to which the question of grimaces will be added. These facial and lingual workouts will create postural sequences of resonators. We will learn how to create melodies with armonics\, how to use the first and second formant\, and how to use fake chords to create kargiira tecnique (tibetan chant). Then at least we will create a chorus that i will be record and should be possible that if the result is good will be edit to create an audio that should be published. \n\n\n\nThen we will discover theorical arguments as pitagorical and tolemaic ladder\, the equal temperance\, what is an harmonic\, a musical interval. DESCRIPTION:LoFiA – A LoFi sampler build workshop \n\n\n\nLoFiA is a LoFi sampler\, an electronic instrument that uses a chip called ISD1820. The purpose of this circuit is voice recording. \n\n\n\nDuring the workshop we’ll learn how to build the instrument that can be used to create loops by sampling external sounds.Previous knowledge in soldering or electronics is not needed. They started out as a tap / double bass duo when Janne was based in Rotterdam back in 2011\, and Roger provided the harmonic base of the duo. When Vegar came along in 2016 they started the process of evolving their combined tap-string sound\, leading up to their first album\, recorded in the middle of the pandemic in 2021. One Small Step joined forced with sound engineer Audun Strype and video fotographer Jørn Stenersen and booked a temporary closed stave church in Oslo – the beautiful Stave Church from Gol\, located at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History in Oslo. The stave church is approximately from 1200\, and was preserved from Gol when they wanted to build a new church around 1880. Through movement\, I consider what is ever lasting\, with that which is meant only to be brief and fleeting\, and if and how there is any overlap. Particularly focusing on the words: Is it unfinished or is it endless? The work blends music\, sounds and readings of the poem\, to create a collaboration and exploration into time. \n\n\n\nTaurinasChoreographed by Camila ArayaPerformed by Javiera Guerra\, Dicle Yilmaz and Camila ArayaThe bull or as I have called it “La TaurA” appears. This kind and strong animal only attacks when it is hurt. Three women embody “Las Taurinas” based on the archetype of Taurus. Although I consider myself as a woman and feminist\, I wanted to show just a body in struggle. I think recognizing ourselves as equals where we all feel pain and fear generates empathy\, because we can all identify with this term regardless of our gender.The aim of this work is to show the injustices as a contemporary problematic through the honesty of the body in movement. \n\n\n\n(Cover photo courtesy Katie Kelly)

DESCRIPTION:vovne series: duo & solo \n\n\n\nZone Null:Tony Elieh – bass guitar\, live-electronicsBurkhard Beins – bass guitar\, live-electronics \n\n\n\nAntez \n\n\n\nEntrance in the courtyard\, Aufgang II\, 1 OGDoors 20-00 \n\n\n\nKindly supported by Neustart Kulture\, Initiative Musik.vovne series\, concert series of improvised and new music. the series is rooted in distant Siberia and also periodically takes place in several cities of Russia. at the moment\, one of the longest series of concerts at PAS. “vovne” means “to be outside / to go outside / something that is outside”. to listen or to play\, or to understand\, or to feel\, or to see – it means to go “outside” to be “vovne”. \n\n\n\ninfo:AntezThe basic of this sound action is to play the sympathies of the room’s resonant structure\, shaped by its architectural singularity\, and whose narrative path remains permeable to the present moment. This is achieved by using exclusively acoustic means of sound production generated by the body’s movements. \n\n\n\nMy first inspiration to produce a continuous sound with a percussive instrument evolved through an investigative process of the acoustic qualities of the performance space. I picking out various objects and implements over travels tours\, and in working residency I have adapted this piece to be played on a large drum\, which is used as a acoustic amplifier.I develop an intimate affinity with the materials in vibration. I have to evaluate these vibrations in my body at different levels\, to be able to coordinate my postures and movements\, but also like the archer with Kyudo\, tuned the mind to it. For give life to these vibrations I have used\, since 2008\, an dextrocentrique circumambulation. These sounds are often compared to certain soundsproduced by synthesizers but also to the magnitude that an orchestra can. However\, these sounds depends of the reflective quality of surrounding surfaces\, and on the volume of the performance space itself. \n\n\n\nThese sounds have unusual sonic textures\, they escape traditional percussion registers. They test the limits of our perception\, from infra to ultrasonic\, by playing phase shifts. They insert themselves into the intimacy of matter\, through micro vibration\, and we are presented with an audio saturation by noise density. The flow of these evokes both restraint and excess\, immersion and timelessness. \n\n\n\nZONE NULLThe Berlin-based duo ZONE NULL unites Tony Elieh and Burkhard Beins for an unusal encounter of two bass guitars and a variety of analog and digital live-electronics. While for Elieh the bass guitar has always been a main focus of his musical activities\, as an improviser and namely with the Lebanese indie rock band Scrambled Eggs\, Beins only recently expanded his already wide range of extended percussion\, experimental electronics and sound art by co-founding the Krautrock-Noise band Slurge as their bass player. The sonic fiction of ZONE NULL evolves and florishes on the broad musical horizon these two gentlemen have in common\, ranging from musique concréte and contemporary composition via improvised and experimental music to electronic\, post-punk and avantgarde rock.
