Jonathon has performed/recorded with Butch Morris\, Kenny Wollesen\, Bill Frisell\, Jason Moran\, Steven Bernstein\, Medeski\, Martin\, and Wood\, Uri Caine\, Jim Black\, Eddie Henderson\, Chris Potter\, Sex Mob\, Cindi Lauper\, Jesse Harris\, Brazilian Girls\, Brian Blade\, Graham Haynes\, Jonas Mekas\, The Nublu Orchestra\, Ilhan Ersahin\, Elliott Sharp\, Art Baron\, David Binney\, Rickie Lee Jones and Red Baraat. \n\n\n\nJonathan Lindhorstis a Berlin based saxophonist and composer who is not only an active member of the Berlin jazz and free improvised music scene\, but also plays regularly in New York and in his home country of Canada. In addition to leading his Canadian based project The Limerence Quartet\, he is a member of Innocent When you Dream: The Music of Tom Waits\, Fake Noise\, Hover Trout\, and various other Berlin based collective projects. \n\n\n\nSofia SalvoCurrently working on her first baritone solo material to be released on Relative Pitch Records. Her active projects include “Revuelta de ave” with Lorena Izquierdo\, “Seriously? Wow”\, with Margaret Unknown and Kido Gohn\, and “SSS\,sss?S!!” with dancer Siri Salminen. Also a recent past project\, “CATARAT” with Claire Nico\, Helli Nova and Marta Masternak. She’s also part of “Fallen Crooner” with Robert Lucaciu\, Pascal Klewer\, Shannon Barnett\, Moritz Baumgaertner and Laura Totenhagen\, and Christian Kuhn’s “Kuhn Fu”. \n\n\n\nKeisuke MatsunoKeisuke plays the guitar. Where he starts collaborations with many musicians exploring different musical styles but focusing especially on experimental music\, free jazz\, noise and radical improvisation. Born in 1959 in Osaka\, Uchihashi began to play the guitar at age 12\, playing in various rock bands\, though he later studied jazz music. In 1988 he joined the band the First Edition\, and in 1990 formed the band Altered States. He was also a member of Otomo Yoshihide’s Ground Zero from 1994 to 1997. Uchihashi also plays daxophone\, and in addition to his role as a free improviser\, Uchihashi has been the musical director for Osaka theatre group Ishinha\, has held improvisation workshops (a project known as New Music Action) in various cities in Japan\, as well as London\, Oslo\, and currently in Vienna also. Uchihashi has set up his own record label\, Innocent Records a.k.a. Zenbei Records\, had held a music festival annually since 1996 Festival BEYOND INNOCENCE.http://www.innocentrecord.com/ \n\n\n\nDaniel Fishkin is an American composer\, sound artist\, and instrument builder. He studied with composer Maryanne Amacher and with multi-instrumentalist Mark Stewart. Fishkin performed as a soloist on modular synthesizer with the American Symphony Orchestra\, developed sound installations in abandoned concert halls\, and played innumerable basement punk shows. His lifework investigating the aesthetics of hearing damage has received international press (Nature Journal\, 2014); as an ally in the search for a cure\, he has been awarded the title of “tinnitus ambassador” by the Deutsche Tinnitus-Stiftung. He is the only luthier that studied with the daxophone’s inventor\, Hans Reichel; Daniel’s instruments have traveled the world\, and are played everyday by players based in Canada\, USA\, Norway\, Germany\, France\, Japan\, Kazakhstan\, and Australia. Daniel received his MA in Music Composition from Wesleyan University\, and has taught courses on instrument design and electronic music at Bard College and the Cooper Union. He is involved in the multimedia project “Dark Eye” with Korhan Erel and Nicolas Wiese\, the movement\, sound and light experiment “enLIGHTenment” with butoh dancer Yuko Kaseki and has cooperated with japanese visual artist and live painter Akiko Nakayama.His daxophone play is characterized by a very personal musical and sonic aesthetic\, deviating from that of the instrument’s inventor Hans Reichel\, who often had a tonal approach to the instrument. Because we believe that improvisation can mean lifelong musical learning\, we want to view its ongoing practice and performance as an opportunity for the development of one’s “voice” and to create a regular offering for musicians* to keep trying themselves out in this laboratory and working community. We hope that in this way we can contribute to spreading this common respect for each other and the different approaches to improvisation in all of our respective “scenes” and enable fresh perspectives. Bach’soriginal movements from his solo violin works connecting with (any)surroundings. It offers the observation of various focus shiftings while drifting through the whole blocks of original scores\, prolonged lacunae between\, and the extraneous sounds produced by a performer. This work has been written/found during the pandemic time. This will be the second version of it\, reframed and a bit recomposed by adding some floating sounding points to extend the perceptive experience. \n\n\n\nSeamus Cater & Fredrik RastenSharing a love of English and Scottish traditional song\, Seamus Cater and Fredrik Rasten search for a grounded resonance\, both literal and musical. The repertoire explores existing ballads and proposes ballads which may never have been written in song form. At their first concert they were announced as playing old songs with new tunings\, while in fact these are old songs with even older tunings.
