The exhibition examines the trauma passed downthrough Louloudis; family\, particularly his maternal great-grandfather\, Ilias Karamanlis\, whowas captured during the war and sent to a concentration camp. After his liberation\, Iliasmade the long and painful journey back to his hometown of Drama\, Greece\, only to find hiswife shattered by the pain of his presumed death. \n\n\n\nThrough a unique journey of personal discovery\, Louloudis retraced his great-grandfather’ssteps\, traveling from Drama to Berlin by ground transportation. These pieces of art\,together with daily journal entries penned during his journey\, offer a profound window intoLouloudis’ thoughts\, experiences\, and reflections on the trauma carried across generations. The exhibition invites viewers to engage with both the personal and collective stories oftrauma\, loss\, and healing. Louloudis blends visual\, auditory\, and performative elements tocreate a powerful narrative that underscores the importance of confronting history andhealing together. \n\n\n\nThroughout the exhibition\, visitors will have the opportunity to experience Louloudis’s work ina variety of formats\, culminating in live performances that integrate his multimediainstallations with his solo drumming. These performances will take place on select dates\,offering an emotional and cathartic space for reflection. \n\n\n\nFor further information or press inquiries\, please contact:Alex Louloudislouloudisbookings@gmail.com \n\n\n\nAbout Alex Louloudis:Alex Louloudis is a multidisciplinary artist known for his exploration of personal narrativesthrough sound\, and performance. DESCRIPTION:Exhibition & Performance: Intergenerational Traumasby Alex Louloudis \n\n\n\nCurated by:Dimitris Trikas \n\n\n\nExhibition Dates:8th December 2024 – 13th December 2024Open Daily: 20:00 – 00:00 \n\n\n\nPerformance Dates:8th December 2024 @ 21:0010th December 2024 @ 21:0011th December 2024 @ 21:0013th December 2024 @ 21:00 \n\n\n\nLocation:PAS Berlin\, First Floor\, Hinterhof Aufgang II\, Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee 101\, 10553 Berlin\,Germany \n\n\n\nIntergenerational Traumas is an immersive art exhibition and performance by acclaimedmusician and artist Alex Louloudis\, which delves deep into the haunting legacy of WWII andits lasting impact on future generations. The exhibition examines the trauma passed downthrough Louloudis’ family\, particularly his maternal great-grandfather\, Ilias Karamanlis\, whowas captured during the war and sent to a concentration camp. Along the way\, he capturedphotographs\, made field recordings\, and gathered materials that now serve as thefoundation for his solo drum performances and the exhibition itself. SUMMARY:Neu Berlin Institute of Improvised Music vol.23
DESCRIPTION:23rd session of ‘Neu Berlin Institute of Improvised Music’:At the celebrated PAS Berlin The I n s t i t u t e is hosting a new improvisational session. We welcome you! \n\n\n\nIn this case the opening group will be:Jörg Hochapfel – PianoÇağrı Erdem – Myo/Laptop\, guitarAndrea Parkins – Electronics\, amplified objectsUlrike Ruf – Cello \n\n\n\n///After the opening group there will be put together sessions by the curator.Doors 19h30Concert starts 20h/// \n\n\n\nMission:By bringing together different practices of improvisation\, we strive to open up the often isolated situation of music scenes to each other and prevent a structural conservatism that exists in the field of improvisation. We focus on connecting and learning from all different genres and subsidiaries. Encouraging people from different musical backgrounds and contexts to interact with each other and create a curated framework for immediate composition in a live setting. Because we believe that improvisation can mean lifelong musical learning\, we want to view its ongoing practice and performance as an opportunity for the development of one’s “voice” and to create a regular offering for musicians* to keep trying themselves out in this laboratory and working community. We hope that in this way we can contribute to spreading this common respect for each other and the different approaches to improvisation in all of our respective “scenes” and enable fresh perspectives. The idea is not new\, of course\, but we want to perceive it anew. In our case we take the name away from an institution that was founded in Vienna 2005 under the name ‘The Neu New York/Vienna Institute of Music’ by the now deceased saxophonist Marco Eneidi and still exists as ‘Monday Improvisers Session’ in Vienna.A warm invitation to you\, if you feel addressed\, and if you want to join this process as a listener!–MIIMKDGraphic Design by Daphné Lejeune / https://lejeunedaphne.com/

SUMMARY:Escenas Sónicas #26: Spree has no sirens
DESCRIPTION:Ana-Maria Van Reusel (modular system) MOO17 (live electronics) The gutter (jazz noise) movan (live electronnics) popon (live electronics) Rosie cpt (bass music)Escenas Sónicas its a series of events delves into the realm of posthuman sounds\, weaving the raw edge of electronic experimentation with the surreal aesthetics of digital/analog visuals. Each event becomes a live\, evolving encounter between sound and image\, driven by spontaneous interactions that challenge traditional perceptions of music and art\, where synthesized tones and distorted rhythms evoke a future where humanity and machine meld. \n\n\n\nIn this multisensory setting\, sound artists and visual creators interact in real-time\, crafting a space where organic improvisation meets the alien textures of a posthuman world. Audiences are invited to experience a dialogue between sight and sound that is both intimate and otherworldly\, reshaping the boundaries of performance.
