SUMMARY:DANCE at PAS
DESCRIPTION:DANCE at PASAn evening of movement and sound by Siri Salminen + Eric Wong / Carla Braux / Andrew Wass + Simon Rose14th December 2025Doors open at 19:30 performances start at 20:00Entrance in the courtyard\, Aufgang II\, 1 OG. . . . . . . \n\n\n\nSALMINEN + WONGSiri Salminen – danceEric Wong – electronicsIn their collaborative work\, Siri Salminen and Eric Wong explore the dynamic interplay between body movement and sound\, examining the temporal and spatial relationships that arise between them. As the body moves intermittently\, it both holds and releases its movements\, leaving behind traces that are continually formed and discarded. Meanwhile\, a series of portable speakers project spatialized sound\, shifting between rhythmic patterns and varying tonal qualities. By alternately introducing regular and irregular rhythms\, and altering both sonic and physical gestures\, they aim to evoke a constant flux of dynamics and a shifting perception of time for the audience. \n\n\n\nBRAUXNo flesh allowedChoreography and interpretation by Carla BrauxEventually I would realize\, that I’d never be skinny enough to hide behind myself. \n\n\n\nWASS ROSEIn With and ThroughAndrew Wass – danceSimon Rose – baritone saxophoneAndrew Wass (dance) Simon Rose (music) will perform through interdisciplinary embodiment\, the ‘exchange of attention’\, somatic music\, essential difference and by responding to the given space\, With a shared research interest in improvisation WASS ROSE have collaborated since 2013. SUMMARY:Sagittarius Horoscope
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the 11th of December at PAS to celebrate the Sagittarius Horoscope. \n\n\n\nThe Sagittarius Orchestra unites musicians who share not just a stage\, but a star sign. For their premiere\, they dive into a bold experiment: can a horoscope shape the way artists play\, connect\, and create together? Sagittarius\, a fire sign ruled by Jupiter\, fuels its natives with boundless curiosity\, explosive energy\, and a hunger for freedom. These traits become the Orchestra’s raw material—sparking fearless improvisation\, adventurous interplay\, and an electric musical chemistry. Together\, they set out to discover whether shared astrology can ignite a shared sound. On the bill also other musicians who doesn’t share the same star sign but they are so generous to share the night with us. \n\n\n\nLorena Izquierdo & Mazen Kerbaj \n\n\n\nAxel Dörner & Tony Buck \n\n\n\nSagittarius Orchestra:Sofia BorgesLucio CapeceTony EliehKaffe MatthewsEliad Wagner \n\n\n\nEntrance in the courtyard\, Aufgang II\, 1OGDoors 19:30

SUMMARY:Union Black / Elshhab / Jealous Orgasm / Tenar
DESCRIPTION:An evening of pushing back against boundaries and breaking the lines of genre and expectation: The Union Black (Navajo) is a dynamic duo playing a riff-laden progressive hardcore afro-punk rock they call “groovecore”. Everyone gets out alive – usually – but few untainted. In support is an eclectic bill of nouveau artists: Elshhab taking us on guitar adventures punctuated by acerbic texts\, Tenar laying a heart bare with fresh sprung raps over liberated beats\, and Jealous Orgasm delivering a 1-piece rock operatic work-out. Frank Zappa taught us that talking about music is like swimming about architecture (or something). Come bathe in the church of noise…

SUMMARY:Neu Berlin Institute of Improvised Music vol. 35
DESCRIPTION:35th session of ‘Neu Berlin Institute of Improvised Music’:At the celebrated Petersburg Artspace The I n s t i t u t e is hosting a new improvisational session. We welcome you! \n\n\n\nIn this case the opening group will be:TBA \n\n\n\n///After the opening group there will be put together sessions by the curator.Doors 19h30Concert starts 20h/// \n\n\n\nMission:By bringing together different practices of improvisation\, we strive to open up the often isolated situation of music scenes to each other and prevent a structural conservatism that exists in the field of improvisation. We focus on connecting and learning from all different genres and subsidiaries. Encouraging people from different musical backgrounds and contexts to interact with each other and create a curated framework for immediate composition in a live setting. Because we believe that improvisation can mean lifelong musical learning\, we want to view its ongoing practice and performance as an opportunity for the development of one’s “voice” and to create a regular offering for musicians* to keep trying themselves out in this laboratory and working community. We hope that in this way we can contribute to spreading this common respect for each other and the different approaches to improvisation in all of our respective “scenes” and enable fresh perspectives. The idea is not new\, of course\, but we want to perceive it anew. In our case we take the name away from an institution that was founded in Vienna 2005 under the name ‘The Neu New York/Vienna Institute of Music’ by the now deceased saxophonist Marco Eneidi and still exists as ‘Monday Improvisers Session’ in Vienna.A warm invitation to you\, if you feel addressed\, and if you want to join this process as a listener!–MIIMKDGraphic Design by Daphné Lejeune / https://lejeunedaphne.com/

SUMMARY:TANNU TUWA / KOOB
DESCRIPTION:KOOB (Berlin)TANNU TUWA (world ends) \n\n\n\nKOOB (Valeria Dele)\, a singer and composer born in Minsk\, Belarus\, was dubbed “the Belarusian Soul Princess” by local press. After massive protests against the regime in 2020\, she moved to Berlin where she began to study jazz. After grounding her band in 2023\, KOOB released her debut album “That Tree” that brought her multiple awards in jazz competitions (Sparda Jazz\, Jazzfrühling\, Carinthischer Sommer) and concerts all over Europe .The band alternates between jazz\, avant garde and soul\, blending it into a mix that disturbs\, caresses and takes the listener aback at the same time. \n\n\n\nKOOB appeared on the public radar in her homeland Belarus\, as the frontwoman of the first ever Belarusian soul band “Dee Tree”. Two years later KOOB entered her solo-path with a remarkable debut single „Jungle“. In 2020 her musical and personal life reached a turning point: the biggest political crisis so far broke out in Belarus\, which caused her to move to Berlin. Now she is studying Jazz Singing at the Jazz Institute there. In 2023 she created a band and released her first album\, whose mix of jazz\, soul\, avant-garde and Belarusian folk singing techniques has won the hearts of critics (Jazz Thing\, Auftakt) and juries of jazz competitions. By now\, her touring geography has covered 11261 km\, where the band played 32 concerts in 11 countries. KOOB appeared on Deutsche Welle\, magz.fm\, Euroradio\, Refuge Worldwide and other TV and radio channels. \n\n\n\nKOOB – vocals (BY)Wolle – piano (DE)Seth Sjöström – electric bass (SE)Lenny Rehm – drums (DE) \n\n\n\nTANNU TUWA #StraightFromTheBalkans \n\n\n\n“Future Punk” – Deantoni Parks (about Tuwa)(Andre3000\,JohnCale\,The Mars Volta\,Technoself \n\n\n\nA member of individuals&internationally acclaimed musicians having the interest for exploring the limitless musical landscape. Experimenting with acoustic and electronic approach\, Tannu Tuwa reaches deep into an untapped resource of infinite auditive phenomena in the same way that Richard Feynman pursued his curiosity for exploring the unknown land of Tannu Tuwa.Tannu Tuwa creates music in the moment and on the spot. \n\n\n\ncollective: Zoran Pars Vujanovic\, Gianluca Pellerito\, Ivan Dugandžić w/ Desideria & you. „The f…… insatiable bloodsuckers\, like the whore of politics\, the bishop “pauper” or the one who plays GOD“ \n\n\n\nThe band\, which delves into experimental and electronic vocal music\, draws inspiration from the traditions and mysticism of the Tannu Tuva region\, as well as the rich cultural heritage of the Balkans\, acting as a bridge between ancient and modern soundscapes. This collective explores the liminal spaces between past and future\, merging traditional experimental vocal techniques with modern electronic&acoustic instruments and experimental sounds. \n\n\n\nWith their sound\, the band revives the cultural\, avant-garde punk spirit\, breaking down the boundaries between musical genres and aesthetic norms. Eschewing classical song structures\, they often create soundscapes that invite contemplation\, questioning reality\, and emotional journeys. Their concerts are performances in their own right—multimedia events that include visual arts\, performance elements\, and audience interaction\, offering a new experience every time. \n\n\n\nAt its core\, this band bridges the old and the new\, using modern technology to explore ancient themes and mythologies. Their avant-garde approach allows them to freely experiment with different styles and forms\, while their punk ideology drives them to continuously challenge conventions\, making them one of the most intriguing voices on the contemporary music scene. \n\n\n\nwww.tannutuwa.com

SUMMARY:Caoi De Barra // Cian Nugent
DESCRIPTION:We are incredibly excited to present two of Dublin’s most established songwriters Caoi De Barra & Cian Nugent for a double-headline concert. Caoi de Barra is a Dublin/Berlin-based singer\, songwriter\, and drummer whose music moves between intimate vulnerability and inventive\, understated soul. Drawing on the emotional clarity of artists like Joni Mitchell\, the raw openness of Jeff Buckley\, and the textured groove of Unknown Mortal Orchestra\, she leans into a sound that feels authentic\, warm\, and quietly expansive. \n\n\n\nAfter a decade writing\, drumming\, and harmonising with alt-pop trio Wyvern Lingo\, she began releasing music under her own name—shifting from drums to guitar and letting her songs emerge with a more instinctive\, stream-of-consciousness edge. Since 2022 she’s toured widely\, playing drums with artists such as Allison Russell and Wallis Bird while shaping her own creative world. \n\n\n\nHer first releases—the Thicket EP and the single Treehouse—took her on two scooter-powered tours around Ireland\, reflecting the restless curiosity and handmade spirit at the heart of her work. Recently she recorded a series of live “Cow Walk Sessions” in a 150-year-old barn in Brandenburg\, capturing the raw chemistry of her new band. \n\n\n\nNow putting the finishing touches on her debut album\, de Barra is carving out a space for music built from honesty\, motion\, and a sense of finding home in the in-between. She brings this full-band sound to Berlin on November 26th.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdMksuTmAh8&pp=ygUNY2FvaSBkZSBiYXJyYQ%3D%3DCian Nugent is a guitar player and songwriter from Dublin\, Ireland who combines personal passions\, such as folk/blues\, psychedelia\, 1960s & ’70s singer-songwriters\, jazz ambitions and electrified improvisation into a deeply personal style. His music boasts an orchestrated and fully instrumented sound that is playful and eerie at the same time. He has toured widely both solo and as a group member in the USA and Europe with artists such as Steve Gunn\, Ryley Walker\, Angel Olsen\, Nap Eyes etc. His latest album She Brings Me Back To The Land Of The Living (No Quarter 2023) is his most accomplished to date\, seamlessly combining aspects of everything he has done so far into a cohesive whole that is both concise and expansive in equal measures. The album was widely praised\, receiving a 9/10 review from Uncut and was described by Aquarium Drunkard as “Exploring gentle revelations through impressionistic folk rock. Effortlessly blending mood\, groove\, and traditionally-based song craft—think Bert Jansch’s LA Turnaround\, with its Red Rhodes-led pedal steel passages\, with extra art rock friendly elements added for good measure” \n\n\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zs5iSN7jq7A \n\n\n\nhttps://ciannugent.bandcamp.com/Door donation \n\n\n\n15€ – 20€

Formed in New Orleans in 2014\, they’ve released albums with Tymbal Tapes\, Baba Vanga\, Ever/Never\, and Strategic Tape Reserve.https://press.budokanboys.club/
