We focus on connecting and learning from all different genres and subsidiaries. Encouraging people from different musical backgrounds and contexts to interact with each other and create a curated framework for immediate composition in a live setting. Because we believe that improvisation can mean lifelong musical learning\, we want to view its ongoing practice and performance as an opportunity for the development of one’s “voice” and to create a regular offering for musicians* to keep trying themselves out in this laboratory and working community. We hope that in this way we can contribute to spreading this common respect for each other and the different approaches to improvisation in all of our respective “scenes” and enable fresh perspectives. The idea is not new\, of course\, but we want to perceive it anew. DESCRIPTION:Tomorrow you are welcome to take part in MYSTERY SESSION @PAS\, 16. 03. 2023 from 18.00 to 22.00 \n\n\n\nWe will jumpstart our psycho-physical potentialities to form an unpredictably expressive collective body of an improvisational creature. \n\n\n\nMystery Sessions are playful\, participatory\, community encounters of performers and improvisers from different disciplines (such as movement\, sound\, text and visual). \n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome to join the 4-hour lightly composed and gently conducted situation. Please be on time\, bring the tools that you need and a snack to share. \n\n\n\nThe Mystery session will be conducted by Tisa N. Herlec\, a current resident at PAS that otherwise hosts these sessions on a weekly basis at UBIK\, Worm\, Rotterdam where she is based. \n\n\n\nTisa is a performer (vocalist)\, organizer (of situations\, sessions\, events and concerts)\, a composer and an improviser\, a thinker\, a radio host and a writer.Flowing with a swarm of fragments by the principles of multidisciplinarity\, multi-tasking\, omni-focus\, merging totalities and abundance. Sleep is the free flow of psychic energy\, it is one of the many places where the unconscious\, in the form of desires and instincts\, often murky and unutterable\, manifests itself through dreams.What suggestions can the insertion of sounds generate in that liminal phase between sleep and wakefulness? What changes in us\, when we return to lucidity after sleeping accompanied by sounds? And how do sounds interact with dreaming?We might dream that we are listening to music that we believe to be in the dream\, we might dream that we are listening to music that we know to be real\, or the dream might distort/modulate the music and lead us into a more or less conscious listening experience that is impossible to gain in wakefulness.Altering the experience of sleep with music means searching for sensations that can become suggestions for wakefulness. Can we find creative stimuli by accompanying sleep with music? Perhaps we could even influence our unconscious\, dreamlike production through music.Certainly far from any scientific accuracy and completeness R E M – Music For Closed Eyes wants to be an invitation to a personal exploration of sleep and dreams\, altered by sounds\, in search of suggestions\, unusual mental states and even new awareness andinterpretations of psychic production. \n\n\n\n!!!!
