The duo’s songs probe loneliness\, trauma\, delusion\, and love with an auteurist vision and brutal sense of humor; their fierce and darkly comic live sets combine off-kilter electronics\, bizarre narratives\, seedy saxophone and squealing slide guitar. Formed in New Orleans in 2014\, they’ve released albums with Tymbal Tapes\, Baba Vanga\, Ever/Never\, and Strategic Tape Reserve.https://press.budokanboys.club/

SUMMARY:Tereza Švidrnoch: "the only way out is through" / Culture Crush / Die Grillen
DESCRIPTION:13 February\, 19:00Exhibition by Tereza Švidrnoch + Music acts: Culture Crush & Die Grillen \n\n\n\nTereza Švidrnoch: “the only way out is through”Only Way Is Through is an installation by artist\, priestess\, and performer Czech Tereza Švidrnoch\, exploring transition\, ritual\, and the sacred within the act of passage. Drawing on diverse spiritual traditions\, the work invites visitors to slow down\, surrender\, and step into a space of reflection\, intimacy\, and transformation. \n\n\n\nCulture Crush:is a Berlin based performative music project with different cultural backgrounds (Argentinian and Iranian). CC sings in German\, English and Spanish. Their atypical approach blends space disco\, electro pop\, synthwave and post-punk music with a strong political statement on how the use of social media and their algorithms in conjunction with AI technology fueling in unpredictable levels the fragmentation and rupture of the dialogue in the society.Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/intl-es/album/1MGSaMJtLZuZyOChg2YvBs?si=HvTel6qzR3Gf2wCfWpnmZgInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/culture_crush_music/Bandcamp: https://culturecrush.bandcamp.com/ \n\n\n\nDie Grillen:is a collaborative project from Berlin between Chilean graphic artist Danae and German producer Gats. In their music\, “Die Grillen” blends elements of New Wave\, Disco\, Electronic\, and Rock\, taking listeners on a psychedelic journey through the diverse dimensions of post-music genres while captivating with its often unique aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from cultural criticism and the syncretism of living between cultures\, they infuse layers of depth into their music.Instagram: www.instagram.com/d.grillenSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/intl-es/album/5F1O2iHkzU4RD1UCuAFGi1?si=p3CLbG8iQq-bsHaFe74YzQ \n\n\n\nEntrance in the courtyard\, Aufgang II\, 1OGDoors 19:00

SUMMARY:Exhibition & Performance: Intergenerational Traumas by Alex Louloudis
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition & Performance: Intergenerational Traumasby Alex Louloudis \n\n\n\nCurated by:Dimitris Trikas \n\n\n\nExhibition Dates:8th December 2024 – 13th December 2024Open Daily: 20:00 – 00:00 \n\n\n\nPerformance Dates:8th December 2024 @ 21:0010th December 2024 @ 21:0011th December 2024 @ 21:0013th December 2024 @ 21:00 \n\n\n\nLocation:PAS Berlin\, First Floor\, Hinterhof Aufgang II\, Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee 101\, 10553 Berlin\,Germany \n\n\n\nIntergenerational Traumas is an immersive art exhibition and performance by acclaimedmusician and artist Alex Louloudis\, which delves deep into the haunting legacy of WWII andits lasting impact on future generations. The exhibition examines the trauma passed downthrough Louloudis; family\, particularly his maternal great-grandfather\, Ilias Karamanlis\, whowas captured during the war and sent to a concentration camp. After his liberation\, Iliasmade the long and painful journey back to his hometown of Drama\, Greece\, only to find hiswife shattered by the pain of his presumed death. \n\n\n\nThrough a unique journey of personal discovery\, Louloudis retraced his great-grandfather’ssteps\, traveling from Drama to Berlin by ground transportation. Along the way\, he capturedphotographs\, made field recordings\, and gathered materials that now serve as thefoundation for his solo drum performances and the exhibition itself. These pieces of art\,together with daily journal entries penned during his journey\, offer a profound window intoLouloudis’ thoughts\, experiences\, and reflections on the trauma carried across generations. The exhibition invites viewers to engage with both the personal and collective stories oftrauma\, loss\, and healing. Louloudis blends visual\, auditory\, and performative elements tocreate a powerful narrative that underscores the importance of confronting history andhealing together. \n\n\n\nThroughout the exhibition\, visitors will have the opportunity to experience Louloudis’s work ina variety of formats\, culminating in live performances that integrate his multimediainstallations with his solo drumming. These performances will take place on select dates\,offering an emotional and cathartic space for reflection. \n\n\n\nFor further information or press inquiries\, please contact:Alex Louloudislouloudisbookings@gmail.com \n\n\n\nAbout Alex Louloudis:Alex Louloudis is a multidisciplinary artist known for his exploration of personal narrativesthrough sound\, and performance. SUMMARY:Water\, electricity and windows — Francisco Irribarra / opening night / exhibition of photography
DESCRIPTION:Water\, electricity and windows — Francisco Irribarra / opening night / exhibition of photography Galeria Majatów presents an exhibition of analog black-and-white photography by Chilean artist Francisco Irribarra. Transported to South America for a moment\, we will look at the Chilean landscape through the lens of Francisco’s camera. And there almost nothing will happen\, nothing more than the restlessness of the trees\, the wind-wrinkled moments\, until we are blinded by a sun quite different from the one here. Here\, in fact\, that is\, where? Here\, where the water flows with a different current\, the electricity has a disturbingly similar voltage\, and the windows open inward. / Lena Czerniawska \n\n\n\nYou can visit the exhibition from 26th of May till 16th of June during the events in PAS. \n\n\n\nMore about the artist: \n\n\n\nFrancisco Irribarra (33) was Born in Concepcion in The Bio-Bio Region\, Chile. Francisco Studied Industrial Engineer. After the studies he moved to Santiago de Chile to Study Cinema. In the film school he started to shoot 16mm film and he got interested in the elasticity of the support. The lack of infrastructure in Chile lead him to experiment and discover his own personal process that always arise from DIY methods resulting into the study of the motion picture film as a support to expand the idea of cinema and painting. Francisco Started to paint on film in the year of 2016 and After shooting his first film in 2017 as a director of photography he started to paint on 16mm film more seriously hanging film in his apartment in Santigo to paint long strips of film as a manner of canvas to project his paintings in garage basements and in cinemas around Santiago. In the beginning of 2019 Francisco moved to Prague in Czech Republic where he spent his days painting mostly with oil on canvas\, that process ended up in the result of transferring all the ideas he got into hand painted oil Super8mm film called ‚Long days gone’ an abstract film that follows oil paintings and portraits. In 2020 Francisco moves to Rotterdam to start an Artist residency in Worm Pirate Bay\, where he work in a experimental film lab diving deeper into the optical printing\, contact printing and optical sound and trough that using the possibilities of light to add more density and different layers to the film\, immerse into that process and in the middle of a pandemic he start the beginning of a series of 16mm paintings called Prophetical Screams\, after to finish his art residency he projected his film in 2 cinemas in The Netherlands\, Filmhuis Cavia in Amsterdam and Worm Rotterdam\, concluding that process he moves to Berlin to continue his process of experimentation and mixing between light and pigments\, now based in Berlin Francisco is focused primarily on hand painted 16mm film paintings\, oil collage paintings and 35mm black and white paper prints.
