DESCRIPTION:9 June\, 19:30Monday concert: \n\n\n\nduo:Eric Bauer – guitar\, electronicsAlexander Markvart – guitar\, objects \n\n\n\nduo:Elena Hizaar – perfromanceSofya Shaikut – perfromance“The Hen Who Dreamed of Knife” is a surreal movement performance inspired by Marc Chagall’s paintings of chickens and his dreamlike visual language. \n\n\n\nmore info:Performance “The Hen Who Dreamed of Knife” is a surreal movement performance inspired by Marc Chagall’s paintings of chickens and his dreamlike visual language. The performers embody hens as mythical\, haunted creatures caught between absurdity and poetic rebellion. \n\n\n\nLayered with clumsy grace\, bird-like twitching\, and ritualistic gestures\, the performance weaves a fragile world where femininity\, hysteria\, and humor coexist. \n\n\n\nThrough repetition and fragmentation\, the hens become carriers of something both sacred and ridiculous — a flock that remembers something we tried to forget. \n\n\n\nDuration of the performance: 15min \n\n\n\nentrance in the courtyard\, Aufgang II\, 1OGDoors 19:30\, start 20:30

SUMMARY:Neu Berlin Institute of Improvised Music vol. 29
DESCRIPTION:29th session of ‘Neu Berlin Institute of Improvised Music’:At the celebrated PAS Berlin The I n s t i t u t e is hosting a new improvisational session. We welcome you! \n\n\n\nIn this case the opening group will be: \n\n\n\nJonathan Lindhorst – tenor saxTorsten Papenheim – guitarFabian Jung – drumsRosemarie Förster – synthesizer & vocals \n\n\n\n///After the opening group there will be put together sessions by the curator.Doors 19h30Concert starts 20h/// \n\n\n\nMission:By bringing together different practices of improvisation\, we strive to open up the often isolated situation of music scenes to each other and prevent a structural conservatism that exists in the field of improvisation. We focus on connecting and learning from all different genres and subsidiaries. Encouraging people from different musical backgrounds and contexts to interact with each other and create a curated framework for immediate composition in a live setting. Because we believe that improvisation can mean lifelong musical learning\, we want to view its ongoing practice and performance as an opportunity for the development of one’s “voice” and to create a regular offering for musicians* to keep trying themselves out in this laboratory and working community. We hope that in this way we can contribute to spreading this common respect for each other and the different approaches to improvisation in all of our respective “scenes” and enable fresh perspectives. The idea is not new\, of course\, but we want to perceive it anew. In our case we take the name away from an institution that was founded in Vienna 2005 under the name ‘The Neu New York/Vienna Institute of Music’ by the now deceased saxophonist Marco Eneidi and still exists as ‘Monday Improvisers Session’ in Vienna.A warm invitation to you\, if you feel addressed\, and if you want to join this process as a listener!–MIIMKDGraphic Design by Daphné Lejeune / https://lejeunedaphne.com/

SUMMARY:Petar Martić at PAS
DESCRIPTION:16 May\, 20:00Petar Martić\, the Serbian multi-genre artist known for his eclectic musical approach\, will take the stage at PAS on May 16 for a double release show. The night will feature live performances of his debut EP Blok Pop\, released last November\, alongside his freshest EP Cafe Bar Almira\, featuring a blend of dark jazz\, trip-hop\, outsider pop\, and world music. The show will also include hidden and not-so-hidden gems from his extensive catalog and DJ set afterwards. \n\n\n\nThis will be his first solo performance in Berlin. With more than a decade of experience across various projects and performances—including punk shows in Russia\, rap gigs in Europe\, and DJ sets in Asia – Petar continues to push boundaries\, carving out new ground in both the Balkan and European indie scenes. \n\n\n\nAnd the concert will be opened by Berlin-based artist SUCKMYWAV\, who attracts attention with his cross-genre productions. His sound combines elements of UK garage\, UK drill and jazz to create a raw\, unpredictable and fresh style. \n\n\n\n16.05.

His installations\, performances\, writings\, and compositions examine emergent and historical sound technologies as tools for speculation. Highlighting material instability and unruliness\, his work explores the flows of sonic matter through sound systems\, instruments\, software\, and bodies\, to uncover minor histories\, sonic fictions\, and alternate modes of listening and authorship.  His work has been presented by Haus der Kulturen der Welt (DE)\, INA-GRM (FR)\, Ultima Festival (NO)\, National Music Centre (CA)\, Liquid Architecture (AU)\, Gaudeamus Muziekweek (NL)\, G(o)ng Tomorrow (DK)\, and MONOM (DE)\, among others. Morimoto amplifies the sound and creates feedback with a mixer\, whereas Wong spreads out multiple Bluetooth speakers among the audience that playback bass and white noise\, while keeping two for himself to resonate with nearby objects on the table. SUMMARY:BANVIVAN at PAS
DESCRIPTION:The first concert of the band BANVIVAN in a new\, Berlin line-up! \n\n\n\nLegendary\, mind-blowing\, unforgettable event (mostly) for Titov I.\, because the guys agreed to help and plan to rock in 4/4. \n\n\n\nThe pause between the last Moscow concert and the present one is truly Moscow Art Theatre. Time went by\, we grew up\, the world situation heated up: how much is left there – it’s not clear\, we have to have time to play. Nowadays\, everything we rehearse is more like untidy Gipsy-Post-Punk\, but you can still recognise some of the past songs (come and guess which ones). The band members are fantastically close to each other – they look like they were collected from different S-bahn stations (come to guess – from which ones). We hope to bring the programme to an hour of live time at the expense of mime\, but maybe music will be enough. \n\n\n\nGerman is also possible\, but Titov has been saying so for 2 years – and so far without success (but not without hope). What else is there to say? It’s going to be loud\, sweaty and energetic. I would like to see an incredible number of viola players in the hall\, but despite this windy statement – come all! Anyone is welcome! Everyone! \n\n\n\nTickets:https://www.kontramarka.de/tour/banvivan/
